Insalata Caprese [Caprese Salad]

Mozzarella (Ball)
Large Tomato
Fresh Basil (about 8 leaves or to preference)
Olive Oil
Balsamic Vinegar

Slice tomato and mozzarella into discs (probably five each) arrange alternating on the plate.
Tear basil leaves and stick in between the tomato and mozzarella slices (arbitrarily).
Using the rest of the basil, julienne cut and sprinkle over the tomatoes and mozzarella.
[Don't know how to julienne cut basil? Watch here!]
Salt and Pepper to taste.
Drizzle equal parts oil and balsamic vinegar.

Serve with toasted ciabatta bread slices with a little oil drizzle and S & P.

This is the perfect summer dish, but at this point, I'm just focusing on it NOT snowing anymore!

What is life without the company of love, great friends & family?

It was such a beautiful day. . . and all I can say is "blessed"! My bridesmaids threw and hosted an amazing shower. One of the best decisions we made for the day was hiring a photographer (Kelly Lester Photography) to take pictures during the luncheon. It was nice to not have to worry about carrying a camera around to make sure we got pictures of everything. Another great decision? No games! Honestly, games during showers are the worst and just make the day drag along. Nothing is worse than a shower that takes up the whole afternoon. At my shower, we mingled/drank mimosas, had a buffet stir fry inspired lunch, then desert/present opening. All of that only took 2 hours and 15 minutes, which I think was perfect and everyone was happy with that! I think the guests were relieved to not play games! We replaced games with something better. We had guests write "advice for the bride" when they first came in. During the opening of presents the bridesmaids read them off, and everyone loved it. We also raffled off the centerpiece orchids by just pulling names of the guests. Simple, but so much fun!

It was one of the most loved moments I've ever felt. . . I'll cherish it forever!

Product Review :: Clarisonic

Last week I purchased a Clarisonic Mia 2 via Macy's
in white (even though I was dying for the pink polka dot one).

After one week's use, so far I'm giving it a
  4.5 / 5

Reasons? It really does provide a deep down clean, and pulsates to let you know when to switch to different sections on your face. Instructions recommend using it twice a day. . . OK, that's possible. I recommend using it in the shower other wise you're going to get your sink and shirt soaking wet. My only grievance? The brush heads wear out within three months and need replaced. . . a $25 investment.

[sorry for the crappy iphone pic]

The sales lady at Macy's convinced me to buy Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Foaming Cleanser. . .
It's pretty great, I'll admit it and I'm glad she used her sales magic to persuade me to purchase a $20 face wash. The cleanser the Clarisonic kit came with works pretty well too, with the exception that it can feel harsh sometimes.

In the end, I'd definitely recommend the Clarisonic (Mia 2). It cleans deeper and better than I could ever achieve with a wash rag. . .

Have you tried Clarisonic products?
